Thank you for visiting my gallery. Here you will find three parts of my work.
*Photography-I have had a camera in my hands since 1997 when I purchased my first real camera, a Pentax. I fell in love with photography instantly. Nature, street, portraits and food are my focus. Gourmet foods, honey, coffee. My vision comes from an artist point of view.
*Art-I have been drawing since age 5 like most of us. I found that I could do more than draw but create original artwork in 1998 when I painted for the first time. Those paintings were accepted in a gallery, inspiring me to paint for a long season of my life, canvas, murals. Having written multiple children’s stories as they appeared in my imagination, I also illustrated my characters and scenes for multiple stories. Currently, I am creating a series of botanical drawings to align with a series of rare botanical photos I have had the opportunity to take.
*Writing-Currently, I am pursuing traditional publication for my middle grade, traditional, magical realism novel, Hiroshi and The Red Ball. My every day is dedicated to my writing projects. I have written approximately 35 stories over time. The process of taking your imagination and structuring it on the page is incredible, my respect for writers and all creatives grows by the day.
It took me a long time to understand that my work is not divided by 3 outlets, it is expressed through 3 outlets. Every bit of my work is organic and from my brain. (Never thought I would have to say that.)
The most important roles in my life are being the aunt of 10, the oldest sister of 6, the daughter of a strong and hilarious woman, a friend to my many supportive and awesome friends. I rest and reset my creativity with off road bike rides, long lunches, reading on my front porch and watching good movies.
My Best,
Wendy Seale
